Most of us would have considered replacing our older iPad with a newer model. This is because there are many new tablet models released by Apple that comes loaded with many advanced features that will satisfy most of our requirements related to work and entertainment. However, when you buy an iPad from an Apple tablets wholesale or retail stores, transferring data from the old device to the new one is a key priority.

With iPads, it is fairly easier to transfer the entire data between the two devices. Two options are available to you in transferring the data to your iPad, which is by using the iCloud or through iTunes. Below is how to transfer data into your new iPad using iCloud and iTunes.

Transferring Data using iCloud

For transferring the data from iCloud into a new device, one of the first things that you need to make sure is that a backup is created. This can be checked by going into Settings > iCloud > Backup, which will display any of the recent backups that you have made. If no backups are found, you can create a backup of the old device easily in iCloud.

Now to transfer the iCloud backup of your iPad into the new device, make sure that the new iPad is connected to a Wi-Fi network. The restoring option from the iCloud backup will be visible as soon as the device is connected to a network. For this, enter your Apple ID and password, which will then display the list of available backups to choose.

Select the most recently made backup in the list, which will then initiate the download of the contents into your new device. Ensure that the device remains connected to the Wi-Fi network until the transfer is completed.

Transferring Data using iTunes

iTunes can also be used to transfer the backup data into your newly purchased device. This requires first backing up the data of your old iPad into iTunes. For that, connect the iPad to a computer and verify that the iTunes is updated to the latest version. Then open iTunes and select your device that appears. You can save the data downloaded via iTunes and the App Store by choosing File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. There is also an option to encrypt the backup data in iTunes.

To retrieve this backup into a new iPad, connect the device to a Wi-Fi network and to the computer that you have used to save your iTunes backup. Connect into the iTunes app for transferring all your data, which requires first entering the Apple ID and password. Choose the most recent backup from the list and initiate the restore process.
